Were the cars in each class that hard to keep together? Sure made it hard to see how many cars were in a class.
It's because class is on a ladder now. If two cars are paired up and ready to go, why not run them? If there were no ladder, they would have to wait until all cars are there and for the racers to figure out who gets the bye, if there is one.

I saw a lot of "fast e.t." and low MPH! Anyone get thrown out for "excessive braking" ??

How about that Stephen Bell winning the five round slug fest in FS/XX and went 8.18 @ 167. in the finals.

Congrats on class. You walked the tightrope all day and pulled off a very impressive win.

Not much on Roy Hill's 7.78 in Q1 of Super Stock. Pretty impressive and stockers running 170 MPH on 9 inch tires...wow.

Well it is another COLD morning here at the Gatornationals! 31 right now and we are supposed to start running in 20 minutes! There has been nothing but static on the radio yet, so I assume that is not happening! Yesterday we started about an hour late and I imagine that will be the case today also.

Sorry I didn't do much posting yesterday, but class kept us busy all day!!

I just received a text that we are going to try to start by 8:45!

More later

I'm not a racer, but I've met a good many of you that post on C/R and when I looked at the Friday schedule, it continues to amaze me about the lack of respect for the S/SS racers that support NHRA. Both of the classifications only get one hit today. Sort of another slap in the face. I do wish some how NHRA could see that y'all are the future of the sport and not all the JF and DS shows. I used to spend my time taking pictures of the pros and then getting my pictures signed by them while Sportsman were running. Not anymore and haven't done it that way for 4 or 5 years. Good luck to all that remain in the fields for Saturday and Sunday and will see y'all in Charlotte.
