Tomorrow I will live stream Stock and Super Stock at the scales. I know it does not sound exciting, but I think some might find in interesting to see the winners after the race getting scaled and fuel checked. We all see the pro's after the runs, but we never get to see Sportsman racers.
I was struck by two things today. After my first round in Stock I went up to watch Super Stock. It was about 10:30, and it was sportsman only racing, the pros were many hours away. Now I know when you look at the photos the stands were not packed, but I was pleasantly surprised to see a good amount of fans watching Super Stock. The next thing that struck me was the Pro Mods. Now I know many of you probably are not interested in Pro Mod, but the stands were packed when they ran. I sat through a session, and I will have to say it was some of the most fun I have had in a long time watching a non sportsman class. These cars are cool, with so much diversity in engine combos and body types. Turbo cars, Nitrous Cars and Supercharged. These cars run 5.80's at over 250. Lots of fun, much more so than the traditional pros. Here are some more photos.... |

Ken, Pro Mod was actually even more interesting 10+ years ago with the old body styles and paint jobs. The turbo cars couldn't really compete back then, but they certainly can now.
Yes, the three engine combos make it really fun to watch, but too many of the cars look-alike now. I would love to see the old body styles come back but that will probably never happen. ![]() Certainly more interesting than Pro Stock for sure! |

Rod that"s a good combo and with that kind of air I would hope if Jimmy stepped on it hard he would have been able to run a lot quicker than that. We're not there so we really don't know if he had it on kill. And in that kind of air I would think no one did fearing going 1:20 under. Ron if you are running in H and in that kind of air you can't run at least 10:90's or better you need to find some help with your car or another combo. BP
