I've done all the gears in my Proflite and it has noticeably improved rotation when building it. I've done a few other sets for some Comp racers. I'm sold on REM finishes for durability.

Thank you for referring both of these companies.
Especially like the MicroBlue coating for additional friction reduction.
Having a PLUS SIZE Car can use every bit of parasitic drag reduction possible.

I know NASCAR and Sport Cars use a lot of these products and services.
NO longer see the dramatic blowing of engines as you did in the 60's and 70's.
Which I think kicked in in the 80's. (thank you aero industry).

If anyone has a recommendation please forward the information and experience.

Hey Dan, Mark Williams does the REM polish but they have their own term for it. I chose to get my pro gears shot peened and lightened. There's a possibility that to much material may be removed with being strengthened and polished. After breaking a set of gears in the middle of a run, I chose to get them peened over polished. But they do both.

This is a video of a 8.8 I just lightened the ring gear, the spool and had the bearings all done in microblue. This isn't a true representation of performance but it spun at that speed for over 2 minutes.
