One thing I have found on the DP window controls is they do not like 16v systems.
They will usually work when the car is not running , but when the car is running with a functioning alternator , voltage approaches 18-18.5 volts and the control module shuts down .
I fixed the problem on one of the DP's I work on by using a Runtz dropping resister that is made for dropping 12volts down to operate 6 volt gauges on cars that were converted to 12 v.

I'm having the same problem with a 16 volt battery.i tried the runtz and voltage went from 16 to 7 and they don't like that either.any other ideas.

Scott, you can try this reducer ,it's made to reduce from 18 volts to 12 for electric golf cart radios. I've had good results with it.
Jeg's part number is 811-conv-00

CAN buss controllers do not like anything more that 18 volts. I have seen systems fail completely at just over 18 volts.
