I actually saw a shadow this morning for about 30 seconds! It is cloudy now but supposed to clear up this afternoon. A beautiful day is schedule for tomorrow! After that it is iffy at best!
I am going out shortly so I will see if I can find out something about VP. It is windy now and about 60 degrees. I will try to get pics today. I just now heard the first race car start up! |

I think the maroon and silver Duster is Tom and Maureen Ely's old SS/J,K car. They were based in Vegas.

Well, it turned out to be a very nice day and evening. Lots of rigs have been pulling in all day. I don't think the turnout is going to be as big as last year, but the forecast is probably playing a big role in that. Tomorrow should be a nice day and we should have no problem getting our 2 runs in. We run class on Sat. without any runs beforehand, so if you want to run class, you need to be here tomorrow or you will not be able to get on your ladder for your class. I think you can still get a qualifying run on Sat, but it will be at the end of the class runs if they do it the way that they changed the rules to.

They owned a bar in Chandler, AZ for a long time too. Great folks. Haven't thought about them in years. Never saw Maureen without shades on. They also had an F automatic Duster too.

Well "Irene" is playing and all is well with the world! Super Street has been called up and Stock is next! It is a beautiful day here at Beech Bend and we get 2 runs today with no clean-ups according to the schedule!
More later! |
