Default Re: Bracket Racing vs Stock/Super Stock Racing

The low quotas are all about money.
The last decade or more NHRA has had a hard time selling the Divisional series to track owners. Why did the alky cars go to a regional format. To lower the cost of a Divisional event... That is why.
The low number Quota and the hi grade points required to get in a National Event is the product of salesmanship. Hi Grade points require participation at Divisional events. That need to participate gives NHRA the tool to sell those events to track owners by automatically guaranteeing more divisional participation. That way the track owner has a large number of participants to pay his expenses. The divisional tracks want bang for their buck. Why do tracks bring in the X275 cars, the Skidders & Bracket racers? A bigger show to advertise and get spectators or get more entry money. It is all about money or as they say "Follow the Money"
