To expand on Randy's post. The black super stock camaro was not entered this year on my decision. With my wife being run over by a car earlier this year, my time is taken up be the numerous doctor appointments and therapy. I simply could not take the amount of time off needed for this event. The owner wanted to go and is in fact building a new engine for the car.

I have pitted in the "North Forty" every year attending the Mile highs's. I do coast alot to get to the lanes and with that have never gotten the car over 150. In fact I have gotten the car hotter going to the lanes at Topeka than Denver, and based on my scooter odom its longer at Topeka than Denver from the north Forty.
Is the Denver pit area dirty in the north? yes it is, and you do get the feeling that you are not part of the event. However, I still love going to this race.
Is the altitude the problem? maybe, It think of going slower as more track time. ( LOL ).
Are the crowds a pain getting to the lanes?, yes but no worse than Phoenix.
Did scheduling cause a lack of entries this year? probably with D7 and D3 (although postponed) at the same time, plus weather forecast.

Henry, sorry to hear about so many health challenges for you
and your wife. Thankfully not worse, hopefully she continues to heal. Sounds like Verle still full
of enthusiasm and hopefully we see the great looking familiar black
camaro back at Bandimere Speedway soon. It was definately missed.
Oh how I remember that nice hill at Topeka in the lanes on the way up to
the drag strip. With tose staging lanes down in that hole.. LOL..

LODRS at Topeka has plenty of Stock and S/S showing up to race. 93 stock and 55 S/S made the first qualifying run. Looks like the answer is that racers just do not like the Denver National event.

Why is it so hard for people to understand that most don't like the place and especially the management!

This horse has been beat to death. Sportsmen (and wives) do not go because you are so far from the starting line and zero facilities.
In all fairness to Bandimere, this happens once a year. All other races, ya park on asphalt.
