Missed this race !
Too far for this weekend.

Three Pure Stockers made it and did well...!
C/PS Russell got to the 3rd round and lost by . this much...!.

Any racers who didn't come to this race missed two good races at a super nice track. Pits were nice with all paved roads and grass. Easy in and out of the track, and not very far from the interstate.

Very nice facility. Easy access. Minor complaints. A must for your 2018 schedule. ......... More concrete poured than one can imagine.

Last time I ran there was in 1986. When I pulled in Wed. evening I was overwhelmed on how the place had changed in a BIG way! I had a chance to talk with the new track owner Sunday for awhile. He was very, very thankful for the racers that came and for what he has accomplished the past 3 years, and admitted he still has plenty of work to do to be where he intends to be. In his own words "he said without you racers he would be nothing". He is very dedicated in making this facility one of the nicest IHRA tracks around. I believe he will.

Also had a chance to talk with Mike Dunn. Last time he ran there was in 1980 in a fuel funny car. He said things were going well and that he still does a little ESPN announcing from time to time.

All in all it was a very nice weekend. I'll definitely be back soon.......
