I have to admit. I'm kind of surprised at the lack of comments.

The question asked by many would be about the purse ,or rather the lack of it ,and how they can justify what they pay the Sportsman racers in light of their rather exorbitant salaries.
A National event win now pays less than half of what it did 20 years ago. Especially in light if the fact they have lost so many contingency sponsors that made up the actual "real money" part of the purse.

I want to know why nhra cares if we stack a few days before a national event. When traveling from one event to the next it is damned inconvenient to try and find a place to park for a day or two. Most rv parks aren’t big enough which leaves truck stops etc. I could say a lot more on this subject but will wait to see his response before commenting more. My second question would be on why the quotas for Anat events keep being reduced. Mike McMahan 2543 H/SA

Tom you nailed it!
Purses have declined, entry fees through the roof, no help from NHRA on contingency collecting yet they take the money from the companies to be a contingency sponsor and absolutely no help when the company does not pay. Sportsman Racing is the back bone of the events. JMO How does NHRA claim non profit status but yet pay the upper management the money they are paying, does not make sense at all. |

To clarify, non- profit entity's can not have retained earnings, so management may decide to pay out excessive earnings in the form of employee bonuses.
Ask Mr Light, where does NHRA see the future of class racing over the next five years? And exactly what are the NHRA goals to improve Sportsman racing that will directly benefit the Stock & Super Stock NHRA racer. Steve Teeter STK 6380 |

1st Question: "Mr. Light, exactly what do you do for me and my friends to warrant a $250/hr. salary?"
Him : " (his response) " 2nd Question: "No, seriously..... what do you really do?" Reference; 2015 NHRA Tax return which list him as working 40 hr/wk w/ a salary approaching $500k. https://pp-990.s3.amazonaws.com/2017...02fcc290370a8c |
