You could roll the inner fender lip to give more clearance. What is the application, and what rear suspension modifications do you have?

I am with Ed!! If it is setup correctly it will separate, and not drop down on the tire. I run a system like the baseline suspension that Brian listed. It is an adjustable upper control arm similar to a 4 link. It allows pinion angle adjustment along with IC adjustment.

The current suspension is stock. We just put new gears, axles and differential.
