I saw it once with what appeared to be three Weber 55 WDCOE carburetors, and once with what appeared to be three 500 cfm Holley two barrel carburetors. I never saw it with Holley 4 barrel carburetors, but that does not mean they did not try it.

They had the same issue with intake manifolds, and if memory serves, they used to run completely hand-fabricated custom intake manifolds, with Edelbrock logos attached to them, in order to get paid. |

I worked tech in Div. ll 1970-75 and don't remember 3x4 carbs on the car or any MP car. Rules were 2x4 or 3x2 in modified. Did notice something I didn't remember in the 1976 rulebook. It stated that on 1/1/77 modified production classes will be consolidated with the gas classes but In don't think that ever happened.

The Vette on the magazine cover was likely a gasser. No front bumper and bumpers were required in modified. Also there was no carb limit on a gasser.
