We're a little jet-lagged, but we're up and moving around, will be heading to the track in a bit, hoping to see the first pairs go at 0915 hours.
I think Carguy49 (Ron McDowell) is there too, yeah? |

Heading out. I'm wearing a tan boonie and trousers with a grey shirt. I'd sure like to be able to put some faces to some names.

I walked the entire Sportsman pits several times, stopping to visit every Stock racer from Darcy Clarke (AA/SA) to Darrick Elam (W/SA). A very cool bunch of people. Special thanks to Brian Thompson (FordTeacherGuy), Brian Seaburg, and James Boyce (WestCoast) for taking time out for me. I missed Dale Shearon (FireSale).
I also visited some Super Stock racers- Doug Colley spent a significant amount of time telling me about his SS/VX '63 Volkswagen. And I visited most of the Comp racers, which didn't take long, because there were only about ten of them. Craig Schuck took time out to tell me about his 4-cylinder Mitsubishi I/digger that qualified #5 with a .401-under 6.829 on a 7.23 index. |

If his name is spelled "Stephenson", I did speak to him. A white Firebird, right?
That's quite a trip, from Indiana. ...and looks like he's advancing to round 2: Quote:

I was out there on Friday, but was with a friend that has health issues. We forgot to bring his scooter so he would have better mobility. A big THANK YOU to Dave Barcelon for getting to use his golf cart for a while. Did not get to see as many people as would have liked, but was all about a friend having a great time. He and I had an awesome time. Got to see a lot and Rick got to see many friends that were all glad to see him out and about. Next time we bring a scooter for him.
