Welcome to the new "Stock"
Something like this, maybe? http://www.cfrperformance.com/CHRYSL...cfr-7117-z.htm What I want to know if they were able to shake them down for the contingency plan.

You've got to be all over the map on this stuff too. You can't you use a Chevy II Moroso oil pan on any other models but you can use a race 426 reproduction pan on a 383 station wagon. Make sense to anyone? By the way congrats to Jim. I was waiting for the youngster with the big Pontiac to get it together and give you a run but it didn't happen this time.

Look in Page 25 of the NHRA Accepted Products and you will find a multitude of aftermarket oil pans that have been approved for Stock Eliminator class for many other engine makes.

For the record here, this dude is not knocking Mr. Hale at all. Smart racers play the best cards they are holding.
My issue is this . I'm a fabricator by trade. How about if I took a stock 283 pan and added 3" to the bottom of it and showed up at Indy with it. Think it would fly? Of course not. ..and neither should a hemi pan be allowed on a basic 383. The reason why it is, is in my first post in this thread. Carry on...
