The go to spring for BB cars was the Moog 5392. I know, because 2 decades ago, I did the work for my car, which was 3900 lbs. and had a 59%/41% front to rear weight bias. Spent days in a Moog catalog, tried many springs and ultimately settled on the 5392 after which I informed all on the chevelle web site. Unfortunately it is no longer available from Moog but a custom spring shop could still make them with the specs... Moog 5392 17.95".......................Free height 11.50".......................loaded 266 lbs./in..................rate .61...........................wire diameter 2026.........................total load and this place was making springs to the above specs back 10-15 years ago... http://www.springsnthings.com/ If the car in question has far less nose weigh on the springs than the 2300 lbs. my car did, you really need to 4 corner scale the car to get the right spring.
