I also think that during qualifying, we should start based on our index. Its a better visual for the fan.and more realistic for the racers. Mike Last edited by Mike Jones; 11-08-2018 at 10:11 PM. |

Here's a point to consider. Several years back, some friends of mine built fast cars like in A-B-C , etc. Of course the race would play out in front of them, but also they had the first red light deal in their favor. Today, it's a different story with the FX cars all over the place (8 and 9 seconds) I wonder how some of them feel about this. I'm sure we'll hear from some of them before this thread is all played out.

TruSTART was used last weekend at the Hagerstown (Stock/SS) race. I'd bet most of the racers that were there didn't even realize it!
I saw it in round two when a slower car left with a green, and after his opponent (the faster car) left, the slower car's light dropped to a red. I went and looked at my time ticket, and low and behold, TruSTART was printed right on the bottom of the ticket.

I think its fine. Doesn't matter one way or the other to me. My brother thinks its never been changed before, so why change now. He's old school. I agree with someone up above's text, Change to some is a dirty word.....

I've never truly understood how the break out rule came about. Why isn't the best package the winner? Would that help with the excessive braking issue?

Because they had breakouts since the 60's. Long before r.t.'s became available.

I could have won some races this year with it and lost some too. I personally don't care which way we go, let's just standardize it and race!

I'm all for it, as many of you know I have FS car that runs in then 8's and I spot 99% of the time. I remember running opponent that was .002 red and dead on, I was .040 red and couldn't run my number. I thought then it was wrong and still do, it just didn't seem fair. The technology is here, lets do it.

I know it is a lot more work for the people in the tower, but it benefits both spectators and racers
