Ron, The correct seats do not recline; they are the ProCar Pro Sport seats. https://procarbyscat.com/product/pro-sport/ |

COPO seats are heavy and ,in my opinion ,are nowhere as sturdy or safe as a good ,properly mounted quality aluminum seat like a Kirkey Pro series model.

What series Kirkey Pro series are you talking about? The COPO seats I asked about only weight 20 lbs each. Maybe I have the wrong seat in mind.

The COPO seats I weighed on the cars I have worked on weigh around 32# each with the mounts , so that would be around a 30# savings for 2 seats. Regardless , the COPO style seats are not true racing "containment" type seats , they are "sporty car" seats in my opinion.

If you want a lightweight seat that is also safe, you need to spend some money and buy an FIA approved seat or either go with the Ultra Shield or Butler Built racing seats.
Ultra Shield and Butler Built builds the seats for all NASCAR series cars and also have drag racing seats. Also, ISP is a well known manufacturer of drag racing seats for Top Sportsman, Pro Mod and Pro Stock. https://www.butlerbuilt.net/prodrag-plus https://www.butlerbuilt.net/prodrag https://www.ultrashieldrace.com/cata...ec-miata-seat/ https://www.ultrashieldrace.com/cata...ly-sport-seat/ https://www.ispseats.com/drag.html |

I have a pair of the ones that are in the Jegs ad. They are brand new in the box. You can have them for $150. I am in Harrison Township, MI so you can pick them up.
