Al we have had a few people around here build very tight clearance
engines, some with smaller bearings etc. where they needed to run
thin oil only. Haven't seen one that lasted the race weekend yet, and
for some that was after very long tow. As I mentioned above, thin oil
in a regular clearance type engine is only meant for that one heads
up run that matters. After that, get the regular stuff back in there.
