Mike, You should have a pressure test port there somewhere.
This is how I did it on the Monte. I removed the Schrader valve and adapted an AN type fitting that changed everything over to 1/8th pipe. Then the sample valve on a tee and then onto a braided hose to the cowl mounted pressure guage, which you're going to need anyway. Yes, also an under the hood mounted fuel pressure relay feed switch.  picture share
