What Billy said would certainly be the easiest way to get out. it will live a long time with a 2GC I have not looked in a while, but I think 230 is now 226. If it was light in O, you would really have to load up to get to Q. I think P is the way to go at 13.45. Good Luck

Should be painted in few weeks finally. Needs glass and interior. Leon Miranian has the trans. Need roll bar and fuel system. Engine has 4bbl and two Qjets rebuilt for K/SA.. Currently an Impala, but can convert to Biscayne or Bel Aire. Do not have a place to work on it conveniently. |

Doesn't need a roll bar with the 2 bbl combos. How do you convert an Impala into a Bel Air or Biscayne..pray tell?

Yeah, considering a Biscayne would be a 2 door sedan with a different roofline, I doubt just changing the emblems would get you thru tech.

Caprice is different, squared off. Impala and Caprice six tail lights. Bel Air and Biscayne are four. |

It's easy , Alan. You just change every body panel from the cowl back... for no good reason LOL

It doesn't matter, Biscayne, Belair or Impala are all O/P/Q.

1969 Impala at Moroso West Palm Beach, FL November 1988
Temp was 85 Degrees, clear low(er) humidity day. That was cool for South Florida. This was the Impala's best ever run at 12.80 104 mph. Never got a cold weather run out of it. Index was 13.05, dropped from 13.15, from 13.36 Natural L, added weight to run M/SA. Engine by Woodro Josey. Lunati Blue Print Cam Back then could drop a class but not go up. Won Points meet at WPB in 1983, Paul Forte won SS. Engine rated at 280hp. Weighed 4150 lbs. Used street gas. No Roll Bar required. This car would have fit IHRA G/PS rules.
