Virginia they just had a bad race. Out 60 footed everyone except Skinner yet were a tenth behind the best CJ/COPO at the stripe. That wouldn't have happened if they were good passes, as they could previously hang with the COPO before the 2 pulley changes. Yet they still get a gift given to them.

The NHRA guy on the podcast said they wanted these cars to run high 7.90s in mineshaft air and they would slow them down to that. Well a DP ran 7.85 in worse than mineshaft air at the Gators, yet they never attempted to slow them down, and now quite the opposite.

Fezell is the one guy who has run the 351, he's been nearly 2 tenths behind the top cars, and he loses blower OD too?

Any of this seem logical at all?
Fezell is running the old 5.4 (331) motor.

I've heard it stated both ways, that it is the 331/TVS and the 351/2.9. Maybe both have been used this year? Regardless, there's still no justification for taking blower OD from the 351/2.9.
