My SG car can go the full second faster so it was ok with me however, I understand others issue's by voting it down.
Should the delay boxes be outlawed by the rules that will be fine with me. It is a easy change for me. I can adapt. Just give me the rules and I can play by them.
I did not complain and that is basically the same issue I hate to see. People on here trashing a class just because they do not run that class.
I watch and support all the class's and have race friends in all class's up to and including a few in the Pro class's
If we do not support all the sportsman class's as a whole we may not like the final outcome.
The Sportsmen class's are just filler the Pro's are the show and most of know that.
Some on here just do not get it and think of themselves and live in there own bubble.
The Pro's are currently running here at Indy so I am off to watch some of it.
End of second rant.

Basically the same system today. Slightly larger engine, still a Brogie roadster, run 8.60 index in NE2 Heritage series. Still use a bolt.

We are still here and will be until probably Tuesday when we leave for Earlville.
We are parked about 3 rows south of gate 8 on the east side 3 trailers to the inside.
Look for a white trailer with Texas tags. Lots of white trailers just not many with Texas tags.

Sorry Rick,
Rolled out last night to beat the traffic home since we live near the shore and this being a holiday. Hopefully see ya next year...we’ll, that’s if the .90 cars are allowed at Indy since it seems like we’re a headache to other classes.

Cool Re: INDY , 2019 parking fiasco. ...

How did a thread on parking turn into this??????
anyway, Rick your post on looking for the white trailer reminded me of a joke I played at Atco.
I called a pizza delivery joint and told them to come in track and look for the white trailer.
I got a cold pizza but It was worth it.

looking for a white trailer in the pits is like looking for black luggage on the carousel.

I said the same thing Keith but, I erased my post about 3 times before hitting submit to the thread. That’s the reason nobody will ever stand up and do something about how people are treated, they’re too busy bashing another class for absolutely no reason. It doesn’t matter what you care to race, just be glad you get to do it. I had a great time at Indy and I’d do it again. This was something planned for over 3 years on my bucket list and would have been done in 2017 but, I lost my Mom & Stepmom to Cancer so I made it a point for my Dad and I to hit it in 2019. Yes, there was a lot of negatives with the event (parking, stacking, loss of a time run, 1st round Thursday) but, I don’t bring that up. Have fun and live life.

Angry Re: INDY , 2019 parking fiasco. ...

I feel that this mess has cured me from going to the us nationals. nhra did not have any plan at all in place. They did not have enough people parking the rigs. Lets face it. During this time of the year in Indy it rains almost every time during the nationals.I have been to this race race since 1987 and the races that it did not rain were far and few between. On another note they need to make this race go fast or go home. They have added top sportsman and top dragster. Super gas and super do not fit this description. The pits are not big enough to accommodate any more cars. This fiasco is a testament to this. I was pitted it a spot that was on a 15 degree slant to one side. THIS IS UNACCAPTABLE.THE GRASS WAS ANKLE DEEP. THIS IS UNACCAPTABLE.

So did nhra vp in charge of parking walk through sportsman pits with kick me pinned to the seat of his pants. Never could figure this stacking thing out . Talk about a fire hazard could you imagine being parked 4 deep in 10 rigs front and back. Rig in front of you starts on fire at 2am. How would fire dept put that mess out.

This is a great point. We need to keep the local fire departments aware of this every time it occurs. Actually the nhra brass really doesn't give two s****
about the filler dregs. As long as they get paid thier 6 figure salary nothing else really matters to the brass at this not for profit corporation.
