SS/Div6 that return to the sump by the bypass should cut down on the aeration of the oil coming out the bypass.
That is a huge benefit in lubrication. Air bubbles don't cool or lubricate.

I've done this. My question is does the engine make more power with less oil, or on the verge just enough oil, I I'am down 1 mph with no signs of windage problems with an extra 2 quarts in the system.

I didn't think you could run a modified pan or accumulator in stock.. Correct me if I am wrong on this.

You can run an accumulator,and NHRA has a list of accepted pans you can use.. gsa612

Is that the pan you run in Stock? Do you log oil temperature?

Pretty sure that's a Chevy pan, and we're talking about a Buick here. ;-)

That's a Chevy pan on a Chevy engine,with the filter in the back.Buick filter is in the front,and the pan mounting is completely different. gsa612
