Are you running a air filter? A good K&N type filter which richen it slightly.
Or you can simply take it off and hand it to Dean Oliver . That's what we did. Was very happy with his carb.
You know this...how?
You had Deano do you a Dual- Jet carb ?
What was the application?

No Mark, but thanks for calling me out on this. ( however that helps Bill)
I know my way around Holleys pretty well, but the other stuff I would go to Deano because its faster than my learning curve. And he did a Q jet for us

No problem.
Pretty sure Bill is a hands on guy, as are most of us "slug" racers.
If I were offering him advice here, I'd want to know what technique he was using to launch the car, first of all .
But anyway , if Bill B got in touch with Billy N, he's got it handle already. ;-)

Smile Re: dual-jet

Thanks guys for your help. The dual jet being so simple looking I figured what can go
wrong. I thought I was pretty
good at fixing
q-jets. but running
this thing takes a different mindset.I talked to Bill Nees and he put me on to a modification that I believe will work. I'll find out this Saturday if it works. Sorry about the typing.....sometimes it just comes out like this.

wrong.I was always pre

tty good at fixing quadrajets but this think is kicking my but,
