Hello:
Would any of you fine folks happen to know an approximate stock weigh on a Volare/Aspen wagon? I'm reading over 4000 lbs, and that doesn't seem right. Thanks! Steve |

In case you don’t have access to the site shown by Mark (you need to obtain access if you’re halfway serious about running class) the shipping weight varies by year, trim level and motor but ~3400 pounds.

1979 in I/SA with 360 small cam 289hp = 3638 with driver. Not a good place to start. 318 combo may be better.

I'm sorry guys. I worded my request poorly.
I am interested in how much they weigh as they came from the factory, so I know where I would be starting from. As in, I go out and buy a completely stock factory volare wagon and need to know how much it weighs. Thanks! Steve |

I probably removed 200lbs to 300lbs
Power Steering/Brakes/Air/Heater etc. Then added Roll bar Subframes etc. It was easy to get to Min. of lightest class even with roof rack and my XXL Butt aboard!

Lighter than I thought it would be. Without me in it, showed to be 3180. It has a 360/904 combo in it. No rollbar,or under dash componets I was told this car used to belong to GTX JOHN. |
