Default piston rings

hi are there anyone who has tried the new total conform piston rings from total seal in an stocker engine.

Kinda make since. Carpenters been doing it forever with lumber. Guess it would work but kinda scary if a piece were to break off.

I don't think there's any risk of breaking if using a steel topp ring. we are building a new short block for are pontiac 455 ho stock eliminator engine and is thinking about testing the total conform topp ring.are the no one who has tested those?
