With great sadness on behalf of the Grossi family I'm here to announce the passing of Jim Grossi Sr. on Thursday 12/26.
Jim was the twin brother of Frank Grossi who passed just 4 months ago. Jim & Frank went through life doing most things together. They were born into an Italian immigrant farming family as the youngest of 6, and were the only sons. The only work they ever knew was farming, and they spent their lives together in the business that our grandfather had started. When they weren't farming, they were racing. Losing Frank was difficult on Dad, but we know he died happy. He had spoken to each of his children Darin, Lisa, Sante, and me, that day. When I talked to him he told me that he was happy, and having a great day. Darin & Lisa had similar conversations. Sante had seen Dad just a couple of hours before on his way to dinner with his Girlfriend Dianne. Sante said Dad looked good and was in a great mood. Dad left Sante's house headed to dinner at one of his favorite restaurants. Dad passed after enjoying one of his favorite meals in the company of someone he loved. As painful a loss as it is for the family, we are all comforted to know that he went out quickly, and painlessly, at the end of a good day. He was happy. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 8th at 1:00 pm at Drapers Mortuary, located at 811 N. Mountain Ave, Ontario CA 91762. Following the funeral there will be a celebration of life gathering at Centro Basco Restaurant located at 13432 Central Avenue, Chino CA 91710 All friends of Jim & Frank are invited to attend. Please RSVP for the luncheon to JGrossijr@hotmail.com Thank you Last edited by JGrossijr; 01-01-2020 at 01:21 AM. Reason: Modification of funeral time |
