Anyway , the AFB deal should fall between the 4 GC and the Q-jet. We know that much . Other than that, I'd have to look at one closely, with the newer rules, and I just haven't. As mentioned , Jim Lewis would know the deal on them. I don't bother people at work, that do this stuff for a living, though. I haven't seen the ol' boy at the races in a while.

Jim, we know what good 327-275's make so what we're looking at is....
-the difference between a good AFB and a good QJet -what (if any) difference there is in the cam (.399/.399 on the 300 & .390/.410 on the 275) -what (if any) difference there is in a good AFB intake compared to a good Qjet intake The 327/300 @ 265 isn't horrible. But the 327/250 is the same engine (except for the 4G) and intake and it's @ 245. I don't see the AFB covering the 20 hp difference, even with the intake being a bit better on the AFB.....given the current state of Stocker intake technology. But .60-.70 under should be no problem for a decent 327/300, though. -Al
