once its pro-shifted you can't put synchronizers back.. all that area is machined off to install the pro shift dogs.. to go back you would have to replace 2nd. 3rd and main drive

Yes it is a super T10. 26 spline input and 32 spline output.
With the crash box mods I figured the input/main drive, 2nd, 3rd, and even 1st would be replaced. Also sliders and brass.
May not be worth it. Just trying to use what I got.

Even If you can find all the parts (sliders-synchros etc.)you will need to convert the trans back to a NON crash box configuration you will have an awful lot of money invested...Not sure how much of that stuff is still out there. That trans hasn't been built in many years--- Might be easier and cheaper to find something else !!!!

The factory 1st gear ratios in Super T10 trans. had 2.64, 2.88 and I believe there was a 3.44. There may have been 1 more. These are the trans that were sold aftermarket, not factory installed. Liberty made a 2.99 set that was very popular and I believe only available proshifted. If you have a trans that is a modified factory unit with every other small lug ground of the gears, you could put all the fully synchronized stuff back in it and it will work even though you are missing every other lug on the gears. You would need sliders, brass rings, the 3 little dogs etc. and possible hubs if they were changed to solid ones. This may not be the best way, but it will get you down the road on a budget.

Dave is correct.
You could go without the energizer springs . You would just put the dogs in with heavy grease, as you assemble the synchros . It'll have a lighter feel to the shifts, but people did build them that way.

Yes I believe these are liberty gears. Small lugs do not look ground off, it appears to be made this way.
Interesting idea never thought about putting synchros, etc, back in with every other tooth off the gears. That would work but do not think these are factory gears.
Thanks for the info.

if it has Liberty pro-shift rings they will have welds holding them...if factory with every other tooth cut off there wont be welds and will still have the cone/taper area for synchronizer....
Another option if it is pro shifted w/liberty rings, Liberty's will face plate them now...
Liberty's pro shift rings the lugs were 1/8' wide X 1/2'' ish long and usually have Liberty's stamped in them
Doug Nash's were about 1/4''wide and 1/2'' long

I have one of those T-10's, Joe at Liberty Gearsmade them, 2.99 first gear, 1.75,1.33,1.00 made from 9310 nickel steel, great box, it's worth rebuilding, but I'd rather find a 2.64 box for street and save the Liberty set for racing.
