"Phase 4 – Revitalization: The rate of infection among those surveillance tested and the number of patients admitted to the hospital continues to decline. Face coverings and social distancing are the norm.

Phase 5 – Illinois Restored: With a vaccine or highly effective treatment widely available or the elimination of any new cases over a sustained period, the economy fully reopens with safety precautions continuing. Conventions, festivals and large events are permitted, and all businesses, schools and places of recreation can open with new safety guidance and procedures in place reflecting the lessons learned during the COVID-19 pandemic."

I am glad I don't live I Illinois. Looks like a tough road for them for economic recovery. That governor really doesn't get it.

Not necessarily. Ohio is Republican and every bit as tough as Illinois. But people love him ( Dewine). His ratings are through the roof. He was the third Governor to lock everything down, being very cautious moving forward, and one of Baders obstacles to opening back up

Like Jim said Ohio is a Republican state with a
Very conservative governor No racing here in Ohio as of now
People like to blame blue or red. But its not a political issue
It would be nice if we could keep posts to racing
But I am to blame also

It's very American to decide that we're bored with Covid19 and therefore it's over!

In my opinion the only thing we know for sure is that the NHRA schedules will continue to change, postponed races will be scheduled and scheduled races will be postponed or cancelled.

All it takes is a flare in infections in a area for previously agreed to plans to go out the window.

If it was NHRA's call we probably would be racing everywhere, but its not. They are just along for the ride like the rest of us.

I am a very conservative Ohio R, and I don't label our Gov as a conservative!!! I never voted for him as I swore never to vote for him again once he left the senate! I won't vote for him even for dog catcher!! EVER!! Can't wait for the day he is out of Ohio politics.

From the article
"And the question could be “Will fans even want to attend an event where social distancing and face masks might not be a priority?”
