I went 2.43 under with the bias ply slicks and was afraid to run the radial.

We had them on the truck testing and radials were quicker and faster, but only hooked 20% of the time. Maybe with some work it could be a player

Tried them on our Nova off and on. Never figured out how to consistently hook. Encouraging but in hot track conditions we didn’t have it figured out. Someday maybe we will. Interesting idea. There is an A/Stick car running them all of the time. Not sure if you can say it is quicker ,but credit to him for getting the car down the track most of the time.

The more time your car spends on the track the more they are worth.

Don't waste your time and money on bias plys
You're dealing with a new combo that may not be the best for U/SA. Don't leave any ET on the table. There are plenty of used radials out there for sale from the higher class cars , that will work very well for you.

It s been quite a few years ago since I went from Bias to radial. When I made the switch I made two run with the radials and took them off. They were ill handling. I put bias back on and ran it that way for several more races. I was forced to put the radials back on the car one day due to getting a flat. I put the same air pressure in the radial as in the bias and the next pass was 0.13 faster than with the bias tires and handled perfectly. Both times I tested this the result was the same . Since then I run the radials all of the time and run them about 13 psi.
This is a super stock car and I run the Hoosier 13.5 x 31.5 radial
