Default Re: Any news from NHRA About the rest of the season

Worldwide Technology Raceway in St. Louis is hosting an Indy car, NASCAR and ARCA event in 2 weeks and have been advertising spectator passes pretty heavily. They have also hosted numerous events with thousands in the stands this year. Wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to see that one happen if it fits into whatever plan the NHRA has. Who truly knows what the motivating factor is for them at the core.

I’ve run some of the rumors posted on this site by a pro in the nitro ranks and he said it’s the first he’s heard of most of them. I’d say there’s a lot of false info being spread around. I know I feel pretty fortunate to be in the center of the country. We’ve been racing our asses off.

Straight from an extremely high NHRA person (who I won't name unless you PayPal me money) after we were wrapping up at Indy 3:

"We are monitoring St. Louis closely. But if they run the events they're currently planning on, then there's no reason we can't run our national event there."

Slightly off topic but a great interview with Joe Morrison, Leverich TF driver on Brian Lohnes Insider Podcast.

Back on topic rumors that if Maple Grove can't run it will be back to Indy again, what do you hear Matt?

For the past week I have heard there's a good chance of "Indy 5" at some point ..... Then NHRA cancels Maple Grove. Personally, I think there's a good chance of us racing in Indy that weekend. But everything is just chatter right now.
