I’m using copper tape as a shield on the cam signal, crank signal, and their shared signal ground. All 3 wires come out of distributor together along with 12v power and I have the shielding grounded at one end only. I separated the 12v wire right out of distributor as close as I could and put a ferrite bead on it. I also put ferrite beads on water pump 12v, alternator charging wire, and twisted the coil pos/neg wire from ignition box to coil and put one bead on the twist. Am I using them in the right spots? Should I put ferrite beads on the already shielded signal wires also? Thanks.

Ok finally got to look at both data loggers samples, The fast system sample is .05 seconds and my tach samples at .01 seconds. I know i can export my fast system to excel, i will check to see if i can export my tachfact software to excel also and the overlay a same run to see what is looks like. My tach down loads look much smoother then the fast system, I could be it is filtered some?

Yes I believe the tachfacts is being filtered and you are correct is it actually a better sample rate than the FAST. Mine does look better on tachfact but definitely not as nice as the super stocker looks on there. I went overboard with wire shield and ferrite cores so I will see what happens.
