Thank you John for an inciteful column. I was # 286 in that last draft with a student deferment for which I was thankful. Now you know how old I am. I should have enlisted in retrospect, because I think the discipline would have done me good and better prepared me for life. I didn't really "grow" up until I was about 45, and still have flashes of "dummy" things.
Faith in God and a good wife have been the factors I lean on. My love of Drag racing still continues. Thanks again for your great columns.
