I would put a Power Glide in it and be done with the THM 400 once and for all.
Just make sure you use a good converter. If you are going to use the THM 400 converter make sure you send it back to update the stator because the stall ratio is different. Also use a good straight cut 1:80 planetary. What et you lose in 60 foot you will make back up down track and should pick up some mph. As Marv Ripes from A-1 transmissions and converters once told me that 99% of all cars would benefit from using a Power Glide. |
