The 904 trans was in Jeeps with the 4 cyl iron duke in the early 80's. They were in 85 Cherokee with the 173 chevy V6 - I bought one new! in 85. The low gearset (2.74) was in some Matador and Spirit cars with the 4 cyl AMC motor in 80's - I bought several transmissions for the gearset at $100. The 6 and 8 cyl AMC's all have the same bolt pattern with 2 3/8 bolts up top and 2 7/16 bolts on the bottom going thru the dowels.

Interesting , but those are not the ones with the standard Chevy bolt pattern.

There was one posted on here on 1-21-2017 by Jerry Harris in Alabama I talked to him it was a real nice piece built by Allison A&A Transmission hope this helps
