We always had our S/S combo / nostalgia drags in late March ..One year, we got pushed back to the third weekend of April. Turned out to be the first 100 * day of the year, and the worst $$$ we ever had.
Of course NHRA is not under the same constraints as an independent promoter.
They've got their grade point / unrealistic Nat'l quota scam going for them.

Speaking of grade points - anybody notice the Brainerd divisional event scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday?

I like it because I'd always drive home for 2 days between the divisional and national. Won't need to do that now.

They couldn't run the weekend before the national due to the Topeka national that weekend.

Thank God , they moved lebanon off of the 4 of july weekend . We are not all retired and can get off work around a shortened holiday work week .
