I think the 351 and 400s, which are all 2 barrels are way to high HP rated, 302 is good in many combos, doubt you could get the Ranchero anywhere near light enough for the top of U.
Considering the 1974 460/300HP combo is very good in S/S, I have to wonder how that would work in Stock. Maybe a Starsky & Hutch Torino, likely the lightest platform for that engine.
