I guess S/SS combo will cover the ProMod/ProStock payout. I will be racing the Showdown and Revival, Just not sold on the Doorslammer just yet.
Is there anyplace that shows the payout structure for any of these big dollar races? Not that I have a car ready or would ever travel that far. But I have always looked more at Entry fee than the purse I know I have to pay the entry fee the odds of bringing home the big $ is pretty slim for most that enter. Now if you can make a few rounds and get your money back that makes it more appealing than the very top heavy payout that some have.

You are thinking correctly about these races. the payout Palm beach bracket race on new years went 10 rounds for $10k. entry was $150 pre enter. Most of these races pay round money starting 3rd or 4th round. think about over 3/4 of the racers are gone without money. The one thing bracket racers like about these events many times is 1 tow to enter 3 races. You have to do the math. of course NHRA does not get any money from these, just track and promoter, so maybe a little bigger pot
