See you have know idea what a pipe welder does do you. Solar farm and wind farms have no pipe on them and what little ducting they have any welder can do a little 7018 or 6010 hell I can weld that stuff. Know double duplex stainless, no 7/8 wall carbon still that gets X rayed and NDT. He makes way over 6 figures a year like most good pipe welders, pervert joe going to retrain them to install solar panels that require very little skill, and compete with illegals that will work for $15 dollars an hour and not bitch about safety. So go back sign the books and wait something might come up in a few months Ok then. Oh yeah the side boom operator he can go run a back hoe for Joes excavating for $18 and hour if an illegal don't get it first for $12 an hour, the surveyors, civil Engineers, on and on, you have know clue in your.little liberal west coast bubble. You have zero knowledge of what these skilled tradesman do. So yeah they would be embarrassed, of course these guys didn't sit at a desk for 24 years.

NASCO San Diego, hires them everyday to build ships. I don't remember sitting at a desk, but if you say so. And I know what prevailing wage for welders, operating engineers and electricians is.
