I’m just starting to look around for possible SS cars.
When Modified Eliminator was abolished the classes were inserted into SS. Can also run car/class in Comp Eliminator. AS is the old A/Super Modified, limited carb(1) and heads, no tube frame. AM is the old A/Modified Production, multi-carbs, better heads, etc. See rules for limitations and weights, etc. Perhaps racers can chime in.

The choice between AS amd AM is kind of dictated by your choice of body style. In AS the min weight is 3350# with a 5% deduct for auto trans so min is 3180# need a bigger car engine size would be 394ci [3350@ 8.5# per ci ] single 4150 style 850 carb AM is 2650# min @ 7.5 # per ci so around 375 ci with any size dual carbs this works with the smaller cars ( Cobalt, Cavalier, Sunfire, or ??? dont be afraid to ask alot of questions first , It will be a challenge !!! good luck Bob
