Must be us Sportsmen racers who are spreading this thing, because I've heard on a regular race weekend it is business as usual with pay at the gate, and they hand you the time card.

They call racers up to the tower all the time to fill out tech cards if you pay at the gate. I heard them call a couple guys up today at the Houston race. The $8.00 fee goes to the on line service as well if you go that route.

Why.... I guess NHRA hires these secured firms to handle it. It is only $3,00 in division 7. Go figure something actually cheaper out west.

Lyn, on a normal week at WWTR they don't have paper timeslips from everything I understand. The WWTR timeslip app has been used since last season started, and was even used at Tyler and Brian's race last week.

As far as pay at the gate, they do allow it but they have an "express lane" I believe for people who paid online. I didn't race their bracket program last year, but I'm a member of some Facebook groups of bracket racers from that area and see complaints about these things in there from time to time.
