You could use a lock up case for any year, but a functioning L/U would be legal in '81 or newer cars.
Of course , adding that weight to a SB converter, would be a wash, at best, IMO


Edit..Jim Mantle: That would be the LH side (driver's) behind the shift shft, unless you had it in a clamp fixture in front of the bench ;-)

I think some of the fast guys are probably running lock up convertors along with steep gearing and a 7 or 8 inch convertor but you're not going to get them or anyone to talk about it..

I stand corrected, had to go out to the shop and look. Often thought of trying a lockup in the Pacer, legal if I run it as a 79.
