I know a lot of old 1/8 mile guys who ran 6.00+ gears. but with old 4 speeds, I thinks the time shifting [between gears] cost them.
in my car, when running a 4 speed and a 5.67, streeeeetching 3rd netted better ets, than running a 6.20 and hitting all 4 gears. maybe with the new very high dollar clutchless 4 speeds, it would take a lot of data logging to know. 6 to 7 seconds happens real fast. Rod in AZ |
