An icon and legend of the New York metro area drag strips. Sam racked up an impressive win record the past 50 plus years. Remember him at National Speedway on L.I., E-town, etc. One car he raced stands out in my recollection was a 67-68 Firebird which he was very successful with. R.I.P. and may the Lord’s perpetual light shine upon you and may he comfort your family and friends.

This is very sad RIP. Sam was the first person I raced At New York National Speedway.

Sam Biondo was the king of the Englishtown ET brackets for many years. He was a little before my time but I had the honor of competing against Sal and Peter around the New Jersey tracks. RIP Sam and condolences to the Biondo family and their friends.
