Stan, Used to turn it 1-2 shift 6600, 2-3 shift 7000,7600 + thru the traps 1/4 mile .Was hard to due with stock block. Had to due a lot of buttom end work to keep oil in the pan. Also had junk heads back then, non welded exhaust, no intake epoxy.we did it all without a Dyno. Now have access to a dyno,but too old to start over again.
