NHRA Lucas race schedule
With fuel prices with no end in sight, NHRA needs to have races A to B to C then home. Larry hit the nail on the head! I live further than most from the races(Canada), and plan on doing a lot of racing this year. Florida was on my radar, but I won't go to race SGMP, wait a month for the baby Gators, and then home(not enough grade points for the Gators). I would however, go to SGMP, Orlando, baby Gators, Bo's race and the Elite race, and come home with 3 grade points, 5 races, and a nice tan. J.R. |

Norwalk just announced their 2022 Schedule with the LODRS being June 2-5, so from what I've seen in previous years, the official announcement is usually the next couple days

Galot posted their 2022 schedule couple days ago showing their September date (14th-17th) and saw a knowledgeable source posting that they are ironing out the D6-D7 schedule. Would think they’ll give our Canadian friends their 2019 grade points.

They have up until now. However, some racers got across the border
prior to the official date of Nov.8/2021. It was a crapshoot, as some got through, and some got turned away, it just depended on who you got, and what border crossing you went to. This may lead NHRA to think the border was re-opened, and anybody could cross. This was not the case, so I hope they will leave the 2019 Grade Points in place, or give the Canadians a choice, 2019 or 2021. It was a silly deal, as I could fly anywhere in the U.S., but not drive. If I didn't have Covid before the flight, I probably would have got it before landing! J.R. |

Keep in mind the Tracks have a lot of input in these dates. They don't make a lot off these events so NHRA works with them.
Also heard we are going back to Silver Dollar anything to that? Anymore on the Open Series? |

Chip, I was going to mention that a few days ago. I know speaking to a few D1 tracks while putting together my .90 schedule, they have told me it's hard to take a T&T or and Import event off their schedules for a Divisional when it's all money makers. With all the T&T, Grudge, Bracket Events (If run properly), Import events sometimes a Divisional takes a backseat to these money makers. Nothing against a Divisional but, the tracks can make some cash on a Divisional but, we all know it's tough to get people in the seats if John Force isn't in attendance. Just look at SGMP, one week you have the Duck events and the place it packed to the gills, the following weekend you have the D2 event and have 10 people in the stands and your wondering if they got to drunk the week before and decided to stay in between events..lol. I mean Bader had the right mindset with the Cavalcade of Stars, let them in for Free but, up the price on certain items so you make a buck or two at a Divisional (Like the old ADRL approach)..I think Bandimere did the same thing this year and the place was PACKED. You go to Cecil or Atco on a Friday night and you swear it's a National event with the people in the stands, hanging along the fence and the 7 or 8 lanes of T&T cars....all paying $25-30 and it's cash in hand for the track, it's hard to give that stuff up. So I'm sure they are all trying to plan things out accordingly to good weekends that they don't have something planned already. It might not fit into our plans but, they have to do what they can to keep these tracks open.

I saw a statement on here that said "Montgomery didn't ASK for one" Simply open the check book and pay for one. That us up to the track owners discretion. Last time I talked to Todd at Tulsa he said it took about 400 entries to break even on a points meet. Remember the large financial loss San Antonio suffered with the storms hitting Louisiana?? Track owners put on events to make money and just the prestige of having an even can be costly. Track owners that put on NHRA divisional events need our support.
