Ohh yes we can have a Burton on the podcast eventually for sure. I thought you meant an actual in-person driver interview, of which I am limited to the amount of traveling I can do especially in this economy, so I was hoping if I went to Vegas I could get a lot of good stories.

"...I thought you meant an actual in-person driver interview..."
Sorry. I MUCH prefer the long sit-down interviews. That gives time to learn some their past racing experiences, what they are currently doing, and what their plans are. And all 3 of the guys I mentioned have quite a bit of past & present they can talk about. Lookin forward to their interviews ! ![]() |

He was my friend and one of my first interviews. He helped the Fazio race program immensely in 2012 and we will forever miss him. He was a very generous man in addition to being a patriot, who had a love for our country as well as the Ford brand, sporting a couple of classic '64 Mercury Comets. The New Jersey native flexed the muscle of his '69 Camaro at the recent PC Richard & Son National Open held at Atco Dragway. The 350ci/255hp motor is currently rated at 280hp for NHRA competition, putting it in G class with a minimum weight of 3250lbs. Utilizing a fresh powerplant, compliments of Steve Ficacci Racing Engines, Ron blasts the G/SA index of 12.00 seconds for possibly one of the quickest runs ever made by a G car. We get to see and hear the story behind the car, its build, and eye catching paint job.

Let’s flash back to Labor Day Weekend 2021 and walk the lanes at the US Nationals. It’s round 3 and I was already finished, compliments of the car in the thumbnail picture, but racers are pairing up and we talk to few of them as they get strapped in and ready to run. We meet the eventual champ Matt Lisa, Bryan Worner, and Rene Garza to name a few! Hit the RED SUBSCRIBE button, it's free and helps me out.

How about a numbers matching 1967 Z/28 Camaro Rally Sport that isn't being stored in a climate controlled building, but rather, being blasted down the quarter mile in record times? The Maryland native knows his classic Chevy and can spot a phony from a mile away, just ask Barrett-Jackson. Despite appreciating the car's history and value, he still wants to have fun, setting records while jamming those gears in the mandatory 4-speed combination that the Z/28 Camaro package was produced. Fully restored back to its original form and equipped with dealer invoice on the window, this car is quite the attention grabber at any track it shows up to.

Firebird or Camaro? Which do you prefer? I know I'll take both. Hit the subscribe button in the bottom right corner of a video if you have not. Thanks.

Grocery getters turned race cars, just another reason to love class racing! In Duane Hoven's case, it is a Ford Maverick that he's owned since the age of 14, which became a bracket car and now a Super Stock car. The Ford Maverick never came with a 4-barrel carburetor so Duane utilizes a self-built screaming 302ci motor out of a 1968 Mercury Cougar, putting the car in GT/PA and pleasing the crowd with high flying, bumper dragging wheelies. Please subscribe to my channel if you could.
