Technology has outpaced Drag Racing. The reason I started drag racing was to go fast safely. A 13.00 street car in 1976 was great to drive on the street and bracket race. now search out a 2007 dodge charger with a hemi and a couple add ons and it is illegal to race because it is faster than 11.50. bolt on a procharger(technology) and run 9's with a little tuning. So why get into legal drag racing when you street car is as fast as most bracket door cars. or go to your local speed raceway, get in superfast electric cart and have fun for the same cost as the gamblers race
