Hmmm, I don't see any options for using MSD power grid in the rule book? Is this located somewhere else?

On the accepted list, page 79 it's MSD 7730 (this is the PN for PowerGrid).

This switch will work without being hooked to the transbrake circuit. You can set it to see an rpm just above transbrake release and it will start a timer. Now I don't know whether it's legal or not though.

The rulebook says RPM activated shifters allowed. That indicates that shifting using time is not legal
