Indy Race vs. Jeff Stealy benefit

As most of you are aware of, the benefit for Jeff Stealy was scheduled on the 19th of April so it would not conflict with the Indy Points meet. Due to the change in scheduling, I have contacted Greg Hill, our Div 3 Sportsman Advisory Council Rep, to see if there is anyway to at least postpone Super Stock first round until Sunday morning so racers could still attend the benefit and then return late to the track. If anyone has any other suggestions on how to make this work, your feedback is appreciated.

I'm sure S/ST would be willing to trade time slots if it can be cleared by upper management !!

yea the poor S/ST guys run @ 8:am sat then they don't go down the track again till sunday morning! Hell if Indy was @ a better time of year (& I had one of those cars) I'd pullout & go bracket racing on sat. night!

Hey Guys

Here is what Jay came up with for you to not miss the benefit for Jeff
It looks good to us and we need to see what you guys think.
Let Jay know if this is good with you.. Lots of ok's on the .90 side

I would like to propose the following changes:

Reschedule Super Stock Rd 1 from Saturday afternoon to Sunday a.m., approximately 9 a.m. (not any earlier)

We would also change the run order planned for Saturday from Stock - SST - SG - SC - S/Stock TO Stock - SST - SG - S/Stock - SC (This is same order as Saturday).

In a near perfect world that would make SS Saturday time run at approximately 10 a.m. We would accommodate those leaving for benefit to the front of the session.

Depending on (everything) I would also like your thoughts on doing a THIRD Qualifying/TT Session on Friday for SST-STOCK-SG-SS-SC for a $10 donation. This might suffice for racers attending benefit to get a third run and skipping Saturday session? My thought to split proceeds 50 / 50 between Jeff Stealy and Justin Rosenbohm.

Your thoughts?
